India rethinking on US aid for fighting COVID-19

New Delhi: India is undecided over accepting the offer of financial assistance by US for fighting COVID-19.

USA offered financial aid to 63 nations including India (2.9 million dollars).

During the Kerala floods, the centre rejected foreign aid offered to Kerala on policy grounds.

The Centre is in a fix over making a stand in the new situation.

Earlier, Prime Minister Modi had video conference with Indian diplomats in various countries.

He asked them to take care of the stranded Indian Diaspora. PM Modi also reportedly directed them to collect maximum funds to the newly formed “ PM Carers fund”.
