New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Tuesday said that it would hear the petition by filed by former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan tomorrow, meaning BJP has to wait a day longer.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has issued notices to the Speaker of the Madhya Pradesh assembly, its principal secretary, Chief Minister Kamal Nath and Governor Lalji Tandon.
BJP approached the Supreme Court after the Speaker adjourned the house for ten days in view of the COVID-19 threat existing in the nation. The move had offered the ruling Congress a breather before facing the floor test.
The crisis in the state started after lawmakers loyal to the BJP-joined Joytiraditya Scindia defected to the BJP last week.
