Chennai, New Delhi: NIA arrested and brought to Chennai on Monday fourteen persons, deported from UAE, with suspected links to an alleged terror outfit.
Said to be from Chennai, Tirunelveli, Theni, Nagapattinam and Ramanathapuram, these men were produced before NIA court and placed in custody.
Sources reportedly said they were members of Wahdat-e-Islami Hind, a religious organisation in Tamil Nadu.
They had been, according to reports, in touch with individuals whom NIA had arrested for suspected links to the outfit Ansarulla.
