New Delhi: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi is likely to be elevated as the AICC president.
Rahul's ascension as Congress president would be accompanied by an overhaul of party structures to populate them with younger people, news18.com reported quoting a top functionary source.
According to sources, older party functionaries will be asked to step down and make way for a new order.
Rahul has been functioning as the vice-president of the party for three years now.
