New Delhi: A day after two children of a Dalit family died and their parents suffered burn injuries after their home was set on fire, allegedly by upper-caste Thakurs in Sunpedh village, near Faridabad in Haryana, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday visited the family to offer support.
Tension gripped the locality yesterday after the incident.
The mother of the children is battling for life at Delhi's Safdarjung Hospital.
Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has sought a report from Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, who is also expected to reach the village later in the day.
Meanwhile, protesting vilagers have blocked the Faridabad highway to demand justice for the killings
