Ahmedabad: Threats from "across the border" will be dealt with firmly, said Home Minister Rajnath Singh whose two-day visit to Gujarat ends Thursday.

"No stone will be left unturned to provide tight security to India's western coast," the minister said late Wednesday at a meeting with BSF officials in the border town of Koteshwar.

Koteshwar is the last town on Indian soil on west coast on the border with Pakistan.

Informed sources said Rajnath Singh has reviewed security measures at a meeting of the officials of the Border Security Force (BSF), Gujarat government home ministry officials and other security agencies.

Rajnath Singh also addressed BSF troopers and marine commandos. He assured them more facilities to man the border with Pakistan.

He has also carried out an aerial survey of Sir Creek area, which is disputed by India and Pakistan.

Rajnath Singh will visit Haraminala area, which is the focal point of infiltration from Pakistan to India.
