Smart Travel Group marks 10 years, launches employee share plan

Sharjah – Smart Travel Group, a prominent name in the UAE’s travel industry, marked its 10th anniversary with a grand celebration at Ajman Hotel. The event brought together industry leaders, airline representatives and company officials to commemorate a decade of service and future ambitions.
The ceremony was attended by A.J. Mithun Ramesh, who served as chief guest. Mithun, who is also the brand ambassador for the group’s holiday division HolidayMakers.com, honored Chairman and Founder Afi Ahmed.
During his address, Afi Ahmed announced that long-serving employees would receive company shares. This aims to recognize their contributions and make them active stakeholders in the company's growth.
He also introduced "Vision 1 Billion", a new goal aimed at significantly expanding the business in the coming years.
Notable guests included Ayyoob Kallada, Chairman of Kallada Group of Food Industry and Vice Chairman of Air Kerala and Riyas Kiltan, Chairman of IPA. Representatives from leading airlines and airport authorities were also present.
Co-founder Ruseeva Afi and members of the Smart Travel management team welcomed the guests. Employees who have been with the company for more than five years were honored during the ceremony.
General Manager Safeer Mahmood delivered the welcome address, followed by remarks from CCO Rajil Sudhakaran, Finance Controller Shehzad Shahul, Partnership Director Shihab and Marketing Director Hashim.
The anniversary event reflected the company’s appreciation for its team and laid out a clear path for future expansion rooted in shared success.
