Winter at Tantora Festival returns to AlUla with cultural, sensory delights
text_fieldsThe Winter at Tantora Festival is set to return to AlUla from December 19 to January 11, presenting a rich mix of historical, cultural, musical and culinary experiences that capture the essence of this ancient city. Named after the traditional sundial in AlUla Old Town, the festival marks the beginning of the winter planting season and forms a key part of the AlUla Moments calendar.
The festival will highlight Saudi Arabia’s vibrant music scene with performances from renowned Lebanese singer Abeer Nehme and the National Arab Orchestra, offering audiences a unique classical music experience. The “Macintosh” show will bring a fresh interpretation of classic Arab hits, performed by contemporary stars Ayedh, Aziz Maraka, Zeina Imad and Daffy under the direction of maestro Ahmad Al-Oud.
A standout collaboration awaits music lovers, with Lebanese composer Marwan Khoury set to perform alongside Croatian cellist Hauser, promising a memorable musical experience.
The festival also features an Immersive Theater Experience that combines live action and film, creating a sensory experience for cinema enthusiasts. Celebrating the Year of the Camel, Sanaam AlUla Night will blend traditional music with the spirit of Saudi Arabian hospitality.
Guests can embark on the “In the Footsteps of Ibn Battuta – Discovery Tour,” which provides insights into AlUla’s historical importance along the Incense Road. Within Tantora Old Town, visitors can experience AlUla’s cultural heritage through traditional performances, crafts, masterclasses and storytelling, reflecting the city's rich history and tradition.
