Makkah: The Fawanees festival, an annual event organized by the Makkah Chamber and endorsed by the Ministry of Culture, has received significant attention this Ramadan. Hosted at the Makkah Chamber’s Exhibition and Events Center, the festival promises a myriad of entertainment, cultural, social and artistic experiences for its attendees.

The Fawanees festival has become a highlight of Ramadan in Makkah. It offers a diverse range of activities aimed at providing enriching experiences for visitors from various walks of life.

In the Ramadan Market section, over 200 exhibitors offer a wide array of food and beverage options, catering to diverse tastes. Additionally, the festival features live shows and entertainment zones suitable for all age groups, including a petting zoo and the innovative Fawanees Studio.

Dr. Turki bin Suleiman Al-Amro, the secretary-general of the Makkah Chamber, emphasized the pivotal role of innovative event curation in fostering community engagement and nurturing local talent. He highlighted Fawanees as a transformative social, commercial, and cultural phenomenon that contributes to the economic growth of Makkah.

Dr. Turki bin Suleiman Al-Amro praised Fawanees for its positive impact on Makkah’s residents and visitors during the holy month of Ramadan.

“Fawanees has emerged as a groundbreaking social, commercial and cultural phenomenon for Makkah’s residents and visitors during the holy month of Ramadan,” he said.

He lauded the event for championing small-scale ventures, cultivating a vibrant entertainment scene, and supporting economic development in alignment with the objectives of Vision 2030.

Beyond its entertainment value, Fawanees serves as a platform to empower small and medium-sized enterprises, fostering entrepreneurship and innovation within the local community.

The festival runs daily from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. until March 31, providing ample opportunities for attendees to immerse themselves in its offerings.
