The Global Logistics Forum, held under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and organized by the Ministry of Transport and Logistic Services, has announced strategic partnerships with key players in the global logistics industry. The forum aims to create a platform for logistics experts and leaders to collaborate and shape the sector's future.

The forum, scheduled to take place in Riyadh from October 12 to 14, 2024, seeks to foster international cooperation, enhance efficiency and sustainability, and adapt logistic services to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving world. Notable partners include Saudia Airlines, the Saudi Ports Authority, and logistics companies like Agility and ARAMEX. The forum is also supported by academic partners Bain & Company, Accenture Saudi Arabia, and PwC Academy Riyadh.

Vice Minister of Transport and Logistic Services Dr. Rumaih Al-Rumaih emphasized the forum's significance in shaping the future of the logistics sector, a vital component of the modern world. He highlighted the importance of collaboration among global and regional logistics leaders to address global trade routes, sustainability and infrastructure development challenges.

The vice minister noted that the forum would explore how modern technologies and innovations can help overcome these challenges and create a more sustainable and connected world.

The forum will feature over 120 speakers, including ministers, experts and international leaders. It will include discussions on sustainability, global trade flexibility and innovative technologies to transform logistics services.

Saudi Arabia is increasingly focusing on its logistics industry, in line with the Vision 2030 economic diversification strategy.

The event will also witness the signing of agreements and memoranda of understanding between leading logistics entities to enhance sector integration and build a more efficient global network.

Riyadh's hosting of the World Logistics Forum 2024 comes when the logistics sector is undergoing significant transformations, driven by the Kingdom's strategic successes in infrastructure development, new logistics centres and growing influence on global trade.
