'7 Dogs' expands to 22 countries in widest global release for an Arab film
text_fieldsThe Arab action thriller 7 Dogs is expanding its international release to 22 countries, marking one of the broadest global cinema rollouts for an Arab film.
The expansion follows the film’s strong performance in Arab markets and growing interest from international distributors and exhibitors.
The latest release schedule will see the film open in Morocco on June 17, followed by Australia, New Zealand, Poland, Finland, Norway and Sweden on June 25.
On June 26, the film will arrive in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Austria, Ireland, Greece, Denmark and Turkey.
Additional releases are planned in China, India and Pakistan, while audiences in Syria and Palestine will be able to watch the film from June 11.
In the United States, 7 Dogs will be screened across 15 states, including New York, New Jersey, Virginia, Washington DC, Michigan, Illinois, Texas, Florida and California.
Filmed in Riyadh, the production is among the largest Arab films made to date and features Karim Abdel Aziz, Ahmed Ezz, Monica Bellucci, Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt and Nasser Al Qasabi.
The story follows an Interpol agent and a member of the "7 Dogs" gang who join forces against a criminal drug trafficking network.
The film has generated more than $15.15 million in box-office revenue and sold 1.97 million tickets within two weeks of release.
Industry observers say the international rollout reflects growing demand for large-scale Arab productions and their increasing presence in major global cinema markets.
