Apple Watch Ultra 4 can hear sounds, recall conversations and more

Technology: Apple is set to expand its premium smartwatch lineup with the Apple Watch Ultra 4, bringing major upgrades while retaining a design broadly similar to its predecessor, the Ultra 3.
According to available information, the new smartwatch will feature Apple’s S11 chip, along with significant improvements in performance, health tracking, battery life and artificial intelligence-powered features.
The Ultra 4 is expected to introduce an advanced Health Sensing System for more detailed monitoring of users’ health. A new Steps Complication will allow users to view their daily step count directly on the watch display.
Battery life is another major highlight, with the device reportedly offering up to 50 hours of normal use and as much as 84 hours in Low Power Mode. Its fast-charging capability can provide up to 18 hours of use following just 15 minutes of charging.
Apple is also introducing a Readiness app, designed to analyse daily fitness and sleep data to provide an indication of the user’s physical readiness and energy levels.
The smartwatch will feature enhanced Sound Recognition, allowing it to identify sounds such as sirens, doorbells and a crying baby and alert users. The feature could be particularly useful for people with hearing difficulties.
Among the new AI-powered features are Live Rewind, which can turn the previous 15 seconds of a conversation into text, and Siri Recap, which summarises important information from recent interactions.
The Apple Watch Ultra 4 is expected to become available globally from September 18, with reports putting its international price at around ₹67,000.
