With temperatures rising, the Indian Community Benevolent Forum (ICBF) Qatar conducted a Heat Stress Awareness session on August 2nd at the ICBF Kanjani Hall. The event aimed to educate workers from various labour camps and community members about heat stress prevention and management strategies. Approximately 150 workers attended the session, showing the importance of such initiatives in safeguarding health during Qatar's intense summer heat.

The session was led by ICBF General Secretary Varkey Boban, who stressed the need for early detection of heat stress symptoms. ICBF President Shanavas Bava emphasized the session's significance during the peak summer as part of ICBF's 40th Anniversary celebrations, highlighting their dedication to the well-being of workers. Chief Guest, Jaya Ganesh Bharadwaj from the Indian Embassy, praised ICBF's role in enhancing community health and safety. Sushant Savardekar, SHEQ Manager at Almana Group Insulation Engineering Company, conducted the session, offering practical advice on health risk management during extreme temperatures.

The event was organized by ICBF's Neelambari Sushant and T Ramaselvam, with support from various community leaders, reflecting ICBF's commitment to the Indian diaspora's health and well-being in Qatar.
