CBSE 10th,12th board exams to be announced on Feb 2nd
text_fieldsNew Delhi: The CBSE 10th and 12th board exams will be announced on Feb 2, informed Union Minister of Education, Ramesh Pokhriyal, in a meeting with CBSE representatives on Thursday.
Various exams, including JEE and NEET, were conducted during the pandemic. Online classes for students were also arranged seamlessly, says the minister. "We didn't let Covid-19 impact our students," the minister claimed.
Briefing on changes in the CBSE curriculum for the academic year 2021-22 given the new National Education Policy, Pokhriyal stressed on the Academic Bank Credits (ABC) provisions which will support students to attain degrees in case of discontinuation. The National Education Policy 2020 (NEP) will stress regional languages as a medium of instruction in primary classes which would be implemented in schools throughout the country.
Vocational education is to be imparted from class 6th as part of NEP. "We want vocational education for students so that they use their knowledge and experience to raise a future and earn a living," the minister opined. He added the importance of imprinting values in the minds of students during anganwadi levels to bring out their potential.
Presidents and secretaries of more than 1000 of CBSE Sahodaya School complexes attended the virtual interactive section to discuss the curriculum changes.
