Kerala launches online portal Aparajitha to report dowry harassment, domestic violence

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Wednesday launched 'Aparajitha', an online complaint portal to report crimes against women.

In the light of three suspected cases of dowry harassment and domestic violence leading to the death of young, married women in the state, CM took it to Twitter to condemn such horrifying incidents and has promised to take stringent actions against such reports to end this injustice.

The CM said that any offences against women can be registered through the platform, email : aparajitha.pol@kerala.gov.in or call 9497996992.

A state nodal officer has also been assigned to look into the complaints regarding dowry. The nodal officer will be assisted by a woman sub-inspector to investigate on the cases.
