Kozhikode:  As the state is continuing on a high alert against COVID-19, Muslim organizations decided to close the mosques in the city.

Mosques including Pattala Palli, Palayam Moideen Palli and Othayamangalam Palli at Chendamangallur will not hold mass prayers and friday prayer.

Some mosques might go ahead with prayer call; however, prayer will be offered only by muezzin and Imam.

The meeting called here by Waqf board unanimously decided to keep up strict vigil against COVID-19.
