Pathanamthitta: At least 300 people may have come in contact with the expatriate family quarantined with Covid 19, officials say.  They in turn might have come in touch with 3000 people in the process.

The district administration and health department are hardworking to bring these people under observation.

In the wake of 300 contacts the patients made, people quarantined at home have to be isolated in hospitals, said DMO, Dr. Sheeja.

Fifteen more isolation rooms would be readied in general hospital. Ten people are in isolation wards at Pathanamthitta General Hospital and Adoor Taluk hospital.

Meanwhile, the elderly parents of the expatriate family have been shifted to Kottayam Medical College.
