New Delhi: Ace Malayalam writer A Sethumadhavan aka Sethu has penned his first English language novel, “Cuckoo’s nest”.

The novel available on Amazon describes the trials faced by Agatha, a woman who stands for secularism.

This former nun, who discarded habit, started running an orphanage for destitute irrespective of caste or religion.

The novels focuses on the incidents at the orphanage, where the edit goes that nobody should talk about religion or caste, which without fail ruffles many feathers.

Meanwhile, colonel Ani Fernandas stepped in to support Agatha in running the orphanage. The novel ruminates on man-woman relationship as well.

Sethu spent five decades in Malayalam literature authoring some of the best works including “ Pandavapuram”.

Delhi based Niyogi books brought out the novel.
