Abhimanyu murder case: Lookout notice issued for 8 accused
text_fieldsKochi: Police have issued lookout notice for eight accused in the case in which Abhimanyu, a student of Maharajas College was stabbed to death, in the backdrop of clashes between the Campus Front and Students Federation of India (SFI) workers. The stabbing was seen as an act planned and executed by Campus Front and their backers, Social Democratic Party of India.
The list of accused in the lookout includes Muhammed Hashim, Nambipulathath house, Panavally Ernakulam; Tanzil, tenant at Karingambrara; Sanad and Sahal of Mekkatt House, Masjid Road, Fayiz of Paliyath House; Arif Bin Saleem of Chamakkalayil House; Shifas of Veliparambu House, Kacheripadi; and Jisal Rasaq of Puthuveetil Parambil, Palluruthy.
Two alleged culprits, Anoob, the 22nd accused and Fasalu, the 23rd accused are out on bail.
Abhimanyu, the SFI activist, was stabbed to death on 1 July
Ousted Maharaja College student Muhammed Rifa and Palluruthy native Saneesh are in police custody at present. They are both arraigned as main accused.
Saneesh, is believed to have summoned the killer gang to the spot to carry out the attack while Muhammed Rifa, the state secretary of Campus Front of Inida, is believed to be the plotter.
