Thiruvananthapuram: Hate campaigns against MLA P C George is being continued vigorously on social media following his derogatory remarks against the assaulted nun.

After the 'Remove P C George' hashtag, the cellotape campaign is gaining momentum. The new campaign called 'Vayamoodeda PC' or 'Shut your mouth PC'. It involves buying a cello tape and sending it to PC George to express protest.

Actress Parvathy has also come out in support for the campaign. She lashed out at PC George on Twitter for his abusive language and saluted the protest by the nuns which is aimed at ensuring justice to the nun who survived the abuse.

'Enough of this man's DISGUSTING WORD VOMIT', wrote Parvathy.

Several people including Bollywood celebs have come forward against the remarks of P C George. Bollywood actor Raveena Tandon said that these attempts are aimed at frightening the victim. She demanded that the Women's Commission should act in the matter.

Bollywood actress Swara Bhaskar also condemned P C George's statements.

'Absolutely shameful and disgusting!!! Scum present across political spectrums and religious divides in India. Literally nauseating! wrote Swara.

Following this she entered into a Twitter battle with filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri. Agnihotri had referenced the #MeToo campaign and tweeted: 'Where is the placard - #MeTooProstituteNun?' He deleted the tweet after Swara brought it to Twitter's notice and got his account suspended.

The Women's Commission has decided to move legally against P C George. They have sent summons to George demanding him to appear before the court on September 20.

The MLA had made abusive comments about the nun in Kottayam.
