PIL in HC seeks arrest of Jalandhar bishop
text_fieldsKochi: A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) petition was filed in High Court seeking to complete the probe into the alleged nun rape case against Jalandhar bishop Franco Mulakkal.
The petition demanded the bishop should be arrested.
“The investigation should be completed in time and justice should be served to the nun,” said the petition. The petitioners demanded that it should be considered on Monday itself. But the High Court will take decision on it at afternoon.
Meanwhile, the hunger strike to protest over the case organised by Chrisitian Council in the High Court junction entered third day on Monday. It is reported that police may arrest Adv John Mathew who has been leading the protest in view of his failing health.
However, the five nuns who joined the protest on Sunday are not participating in it on Monday due to hartal.
