Thiruvananthapuram: A slight progress has been recorded in the condition of Balabhaskar's wife Lakshmi, who was severely injured in a road accident which claimed the lives of her husband and daughter.
Their driver Arjun who sustained injuries in the accident was shifted from the ICU to the ward.
The couple's two-year old daughter Thejaswini Bala (Jani) had died in the accident.
Balabhaskar who was under treatment succumbed to his injuries in the hospital on Tuesday.
Lakshmi is still in the ICU of the hospital but the support of ventilator has been reduced to 80 per cent. She sustained damage on a nerve on the shoulder. The injuries on her knees and brain are reportedly gradually healing.
