Custodial death: AV George to be quizzed

Kochi: Several reports indicate that former Aluva Rural SP AV George will be quizzed in connection with the custodial death of Sreejith of Varappuzha.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) will interrogate George as per the statement given by North Paravur CI Crispin Sam.

The SIT will examine the phone records pertaining to the time after Sreejith was taken into custody. It is widely suspected that phone records were manipulated after Sreejith's being taken into custody.

AV George was Rural SP at the time of Sreejith's death. Sreejith was taken into custody by the Rural Tiger Force, which was headed by George.
