Thiruvananthapuram: Governor P Sathasivam has appealed to people and institutions to support the observance of Earth Hour.
The Governor has asked everyone to switch off non essential lights between 8.30 PM-9.30 PM Saturday as part of the Earth hour observance, a Raj Bhavan press release said.
“This initiative of WWF-India also urges us to give up actions detrimental to the environment and to build awareness on protection of biodiversity through the slogan, Give up to Give Back’, he said.
Since 2009, Earth Hour has been inspiring individuals, Organisations, and Governments in 178 Countries to adopt a more responsible consumption and conservation of energy.
