One more under arrest in Shuhaib murder case

Kannur: In the case of murder of Youth Congress leader Shuhaib in Mattanur, Kannur, one more has been arrested. Sangeeth, from Palayod was arrested Friday, thus making the number of arrested in the case eight.
Sanjay (24) and K. Rajath (22) both from Theroor, Palayot were arrested on Thursday. The complicity of Sanjay in the murder is in hiding the weapons used by the assailants.
The arrest of Sanjay was registered on Thursday and he was remanded after being produced in Magistrate court in Mattanur. The police informed that they were interrogating Rajath and will produce him before the court today. The investigation team is said to have learned that the information about Shuhaib's presence in the kiosk was conveyed to the killers by Rajath.
Anwar Sadat Puthiya Purayil, DYFI and SFI worker from Thillankery, K. Akhil from Moottil, Palayat, TK Ashkar Puthiya Purayil from Theroor, Palayot, Akash from Thillankery, Rijin Raj, Jithin from Muzhakkunnu were the others who arrested earlier. Police have taken into custody the two cars, one WagonR and an Alto used by the accused.
