Kochi: The High Court Thursday observed that granting bail to those involved in political violence was not desirable.
Justice A Rajavijayaraghavan made the observation while rejecting the anticipatory bail plea filed by a group of persons who apprehended arrest in connection with a case related to an incident of political violence in the sensitive Kannur district.
Youth Congress (YC) activist Shuhaib, who was recently killed allegedly by the ruling CPI(M) workers, was also an accused in the case.
Kannur, in north Kerala, has been a hot bed of political violence largely involving CPI(M) and BJP-RSS workers, claiming several lives over the years.
