"New Delhi: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan was, for the fourth time in a row, denied appointment to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. An all party delegation led by the CM was planning to meet the PM to discuss the disparities in the ration allocation to the state. However, Prime Minister's Office refused to give an appointment.
The PMO responded to the request saying the Chief Minister can meet Food and Public Distribution Minister, Ram Vilas Paswan, if needed.
Last week also CM's office had sought an appointment to meet Prime Minister to discuss the same issue. On March 20, 2017, the CM's Office wished to meet the Prime Minister to discuss about budget allocation to the state. Kerala CM was denied an appointment when he requested for it on November 24, 2016 to discuss the effect of demonetisation.
