3 killed as police vehicle rams lorry in Alappuzha

Alappuzha: Three people were killed and another was injured as the car they were travelling in rammed a lorry near Ambalappuzha in the wee hours of today.
The car in which police team was travelling from Kottiyam police station, Kollam rammed into a tanker lorry coming from the opposite direction.
Three died including a female civil police officer.
Sreekala (30) a CPO posted at Kottiyam police station, car driver Noufal, Haseena (30), a resident of Kottiyam are the deceased.
Another police officer Nisar has been seriously injured. He has been admitted to the nearby hospital.
The accident took place around 5 am today morning on the national highway when the team was on the way to Kottiyam from Angamaly.
The police team was returning after having found Haseena who had gone missing.
