Bar scam case against K M Mani may be closed
text_fieldsKochi: State Vigilance Director has submitted to the High Court a progress report of the bar scam case against Kerala Congress (M) leader, KM Mani.
The report is heard to state that there is no clear evidence against Mani.
The High Court had earlier asked Vigilance to submit a progress report. The enquiry officials also informed the High Court that the final report about the enquiry will be submitted to the Vigilance court in Thiruvananthapuram within 15 days.
It is believed that in the absence of any scientific or circumstantial evidence to accuse Mani, the bar bribe case may be wound up. The enquiry was conducted by a special investigation team of the Vigilance.
Meanwhile, the High Court extended the time limit for concluding the bar bribe case by another 45 days, and directed that the final report should be submitted within this deadline.
