Kasaragod: A CPM worker hailing from Uppala, Manjeswaram was stabbed to death late Sunday night.
The victim, identified as Aboobacker Siddique, 23, son of Abdulla at Prathapnagar in Sonkal, was on the way home when he was attacked by bike-borne assailants.
Despite rushed to a hospital in Mangalore, he succumbed to injuries. The body has been shifted to Pariyaram Medical College. CPM clamped a hartal in Manjeswaram taluk on Monday Afternoon.
Police said they received tipoff about the culprits. Meanwhile, CPM accused RSS activists of the brutal murder.
