Thiruvananthapuram: Big malls will have to arrange crèche for the convenience of breast-feeding mothers, as a mandatory requirement, said Kerala Health Minister KK Shylaja. She was inaugurating state-level observance of the World Breastfeeding Week 1-7 August.

The minister said the government aims to reduce considerably the infant mortality rate by 2020. She inaugurated a model feeding centre. The minister complimented the health workers and anganwadi workers who contributed greatly to Kerala achieving the position as the state with the lowest rate of maternal morality.

She also informed that model anganwadi's will be identified for modernizing anganwadis.
