Onam holidays rescheduled; schools to close on Friday

Thiruvananthapuram: The Onam holidays for educational institutions including higher secondary, vocational higher secondary and schools have been rescheduled.

Schools will be closed for Onam holidays on Friday (17/08/18) and will reopen on August 29.

Earlier today, in the wake of torrential rains in the state, district collectors had declared holiday on Friday for all educational institutions including professional colleges in Wayanad, Kozhikode, Malappuram, Kottayam, Palakkad and Kollam districts.

The holiday would be observed by all angandwadis in Wayanad, Kozhikode and Malappuram districts.

All exams scheduled on August 29 by Calicut University and Kerala University of Health Sciences were postponed.
