Zakat is the solution for economic problems - Prof Tariq Mansoor
text_fieldsKochi: Zakat is the right solution for problems haunting the world economies, said Aligarh Muslim University Vice Chancellor Prof. Tariq Mansoor. He was inaugurating the three day International Zakat Conference here on Friday.
The goal of Zakat should be accomplished not by individuals but by the society at whole. The practice can eliminate the gap between the rich and the poor. Agriculture sector in many states is facing a decline in India. If zakat is implemented as it should be, the economic challenges can be overcomed. Eradication of poverty and upliftment of education sector can be realized through zakat.
MI Abdul Azeez , the Jamaat-e-Islami Kerala Amir presided over the inaugural session. He said that the products of zakat system could be availed for the progress of the country.
