New Delhi: Poet K. Satchitanandan strongly came out against atrocities happening in the country, saying that the government of the country was giving tacit approval for all sorts of violence being carried out in the name of culture, caste and religion. He said the silence observed by the government is highly disgusting.
Satchidandan was elaborating on the context for writing the poem, "A letter to Baba", in the wake of Kathwa rape-murder incident. The poem is being widely shared via social media.
The poet pointed out that the whole country is disturbed over violence being perpetrated in the name of religion and caste. He also stated that religion has a clear role in Kathwa incident.
