Actress assault case: Police take statements of Anwar Sadath MLA, actor Mukesh

Thiruvananthapuram: The police on Monday took statements from two legislators, Congress leader Anwar Sadath and actor Mukesh, in connection with the actress assault case in which actor Dileep is an accused.

“I was asked about my friendship with Dileep, phone calls and financial deals. I answered all the questions that were asked. I told them I have no idea who Pulsar Suni is,” said MLA Sadath, who represents Aluva Assembly constituency from where Dileep hails.

Sadath is a close friend of Dileep.

Mukesh was questioned by the police as prime accused Pulsar Suni was his personal driver for a year, after which he was removed. “I was asked about Suni,” said Mukesh, a CPI-M backed legislator from Kollam.

Dileep was arrested last Monday and was remanded to 14 days judicial custody for conspiring in the abduction and molestation of the popular actress, in February in Kochi.
