Thiruvananthapuram: Minister K.T Jaleel’s Facebook post on his visit to the Lord Ayyappa Temple in Sabarimala has gone viral.

“Vavar, who was a Muslim, was the fighter of Ayyappa. Their friendship still remains even after their demise. Let that good old days come again,” Jaleel wrote on his Facebook page on Sunday.

On Saturday, Minister for Local Self Governments, Welfare of Minorities, Wakf and Haj K.T Jaleel had created history by visiting the Lord Ayyappa temple at Sabarimala. He became the first Muslim minister to visit the hill shrine.

After visiting the shrine, Jaleel had told reporters that extremists from religious communities should visit Sabarimala. “This hill bears the message of religious harmony in the past,” he said.
