New Delhi: The state government Monday filed an appeal in the Supreme Court against the Kerala High Court order on closure of the Malaparamba school in Kozhikode.
On Friday, the High Court had given time till June 8 to the state government to close down the Malaparamba school.
“The government should provide all assistance to the Education department officials to execute the court order allowing its closure,” the court had said.
The Kerala High Court had passed an order a few months ago, favouring the management of the school and subsequently the DPI had issued an order for closure of the school last month.
The school protection committee members have been agitating for continuance of the school.
