Kayamkulam: A Youth Congress activist was hacked to death at Evoor in Kayamkulam in Alappuzha on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Sunil Kumar (29).
The police said the CPI(M) activists were behind the attack. “Four persons have been taken into custody in connection with incident,” they said.
The Congress is observing a hartal in Cheppad Panchayat in protest against the incident.
