Thiruvananthapuram: Finance Minister Dr. T.M Thomas has in his budget speech said the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) will introduce 1000 new compressed natural gas (CNG)-powered buses in Kochi.

The Budget has also proposed to levy green taxes on old vehicles in order to make the state pollution-free.

A fund of Rs. 100 crore has also been allotted for renovation of ponds, canal and rivers.
