Thiruvananthapuram: The government has declared holiday for educational institutions, including professional colleges, on Thursday, in the wake of Eid-ul-fitr which will be celebrated on Wednesday.

Religious leaders declared that the Eid-ul-Fitr, the largest religious festival of the Muslims, would be on Wednesday as the Shawal moon was not sighted Monday evening.
