Thiruvananthapuram: Nearly 2000 petrol pumps are going on an indefinite strike from Monday midnight in protest against the oil companies’ decision not to renew licence of petrol bunks.

All Kerala Federation of Petroleum Traders announced that petrol bunks across the state will remain shut indefinite from midnight.

The strike was called after talks held at the state office of the IOC failed to yield result.

The traders allege that Indian Oil authorities are not willing to issue pollution certificate, fire safety certificate and factory certificate.
