Kollam: The crime branch probing the Kollam temple tragedy Friday failed to get any evidence to prove the Puttingal temple officials’ claim that they had met the district collector for the permission of the fireworks display.
The hard disks, which were recovered by the crime branch from the collector's chamber, contained no visuals to prove their meeting with collector A. Shainamol.
The temple officials, who were arrested by the police in connection with the temple fire tragedy, had given their testimony to the police that they had met the collector on April 8 and April 9 seeking permission for the pyrotechnic display.
A huge pile of fireworks exploded early on the morning of April 10 at the temple in Paravur town.
