Thiruvananthapuram: Hundreds of residents spent anxious moments as water entered into their houses due to beach of a bund at Maruthamkuzhi in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday morning.

The bund, built across across the Killi river, breached on Saturday night.

The bund partially breached two months back and several houses were immersed in water at that time too. Sacks of sand were placed to plug the breach temporarily which gave way again yesterday.

Due to incessant rains at Palode in Nedumangad, the Killiar was overflowing. Fire force personnel are camping in the area.
