Thrissur: Seven people, including a child, were killed when their car fell into a water-filled pit at Nandikkara near Puthukkad in Thrissur in the wee hours of Friday.
The victims were identified as Isaac Ismail; his wife Havva Umma; his son Ishaaq; Ishaq’s wife Hafsath; their daughter Irfana; Ishaq’s brother-in-law Mansoor and driver Krishna Prasad.
Sources said the accident happened at around 4.50 am when they were returning from the Cochin International Airport.
According to the preliminary information, the accident occurred when the driver fell asleep.
