New Delhi: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on Friday said that there was no uncertainty within the Congress or in the UDF over the party nominee for the upcoming Aruvikkara bypoll.
The Congress will finalise the UDF candidate for the election in a meeting to be held Friday evening, Chandy said here.
Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala and KPCC chief V M Sudheeran will be among the party leaders who would attend the meeting.
The leaders will visit M T Sulekha, widow of former Speaker G Karthikeyan, after the meeting. Sulekha is most likely to be named the UDF candidate for the bypoll.
Meanwhile, Oommen Chandy, who is in the capital, will call on party chief Sonia Gandhi. He will convey the details related to the party candidature to the High Command.
