Kozhikode: The Customs officials Saturday seized three kg of smuggled gold from a passenger at the Karipur airport who arrived from Dubai.
The gold was seized from Faizal hailing from Koothuparamba.
As many as 12 gold bars worth Rs. 80 lakh were found hidden inside an emergency lamp.
The gold haul was conducted by a team of Customs officials led by Assistant Commissioner A. Praveen Kumar and superintendent C. J Thomas.
