Anti-incumbency votes at Aruvikkara split: Kodiyeri

Thiruvananthapuram: CPI (M) state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan Monday has said there appears to be a split in the anti-incumbency votes at Aruvikkara.

“There seems to be a split in the anti-incumbency votes at Aruvikkara. The LDF, however, will get the votes it deserves,” Kodiyeri told reporters.

“It was the BJP who had tried to split the anti-incumbency votes,” he said, adding that “the BJP had fielded a strong candidate and they will this time get more votes than the Assembly election.”

Kodiyeri has also alleged that the government is trying to scuttle the bar bribery case.

“If Finance Minister K M Mani is acquitted in the bar bribe case, then the LDF will move the court,” he said.
