Mavoor Grasim’s former Exec. V.P. R N Sabu passes away

Kozhikode: Famous industrialist R N Sabu, who led the Mavoor Grasim company for half a decade, died at a private hospital here on Monday.
He was 84.
He had been undergoing treatment for old age related diseases.
Born on May 10, 1932, at Pilani Rajasthan, Sabu arrived in Kozhikode in the year 1961 to supervise the construction of Mavoor Grasim. Starting as executive manager, he served the company for almost 40 years, helping Malabar earn a firm place in Kerala's industrial map.
Sabu had been active in social service with various voluntary organizations after the retirement. He set up a cancer treatment section at the Kozhikode medical college in memory of his late wife Savithridevi Sabu.
He had also served as the president of Malabar Champer of Commerce.
