Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Secretary Jiji Thomason has been asked to investigate the much-talked-about delay in printing and supplying of school textbooks, Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala said here on Friday.

“The government will take required steps to prevent such mistakes in the coming years. The Chief Secretary will submit a report with directions to implement such steps,” Chennithala told reporters here.

Meanwhile, Education Minister Abdu Rabb said that the printing of the textbooks would be completed by July 20.

“The KBPS will prink the books at a price decided earlier. The reasons that caused the delay of the printing will be examined by the government,” Rabb asaid.
