Why did seek legal advice from SC advocates in bar bribery case, asks Vigilance court

Thiruvananthapuram: The Vigilance court on Saturday came down heavily on the Vigilance probe team, who had sought the legal advice from the Supreme Court advocates in the bar bribery case.

“What was the basis for seeking legal advice from the apex court advocates in the case,” asked the court, while hearing the case.

“Did anyone give you permission to do so? Did you conduct any investigation in between the preparation of the fact report and final report,” the court asked.

The Vigilance court also asked the government pleader to give a reply after thoroughly analysing the investigation report.

The case will come up for hearing on September 10.
